Kremlin btw is the russian word for fortress. It's weird that we call the one in Moscow "The Kremlin" because many towns have a Kremlin. They were part of Muscovy expansionism from the 16th to 18th century. When Muscovy conquered a region, it built an imposing fortress. Like the one in Kazan.
