I've never written a morally gray love interest, so when Ryson Noctis came along, (arrogant, controlling, somewhat merciless) I had my qualms. I'd planned for him to be notorious, but sweet to his mates.

There was a scene I planned on cutting. This story began in serial format, where there was more room for Tollak and Jupiter's side plot. I love giving my characters lives outside of the romance, and his mentorship was an ideal way to do that. For long-form books...

What is the biggest challenge your character faces?

Simple answer? Themselves. My heroines often have trauma in their past leading them to be closed off from love. Especially when it’s fated!

eg. Seyah. Her parents were fated mates and their toxic love eclipsed her entirely

Many of my heroines are reluctant to give up control of their future or their hearts.
