I knew who I was when I got up this morning but I think I've changed several times since then // archaeologist, likes scapes: sea, land, film, sound
For #LondonRiversWeek I'm sharing a photo of the Channelsea, much culverted but where it emerges is a lovely marshy spot, cared for by #SurgeCollective #BlancSceol and the site, recently, for #LeakyInstruments workshops on how we can live ethically with rivers #RiverCommons

'Regenerated' landfills are another methane landscape I've been thinking about so imagine my excitement finding Puck Haw on the 1868 OS map of Nutfield Marshes, Surrey, where I went field recording a couple of weeks ago. Named for marsh lights lurking by hedgerows? No idea, but going with it...

Fugitive Emissions WIP

In the SW pixies and Will o' the Wisps (Jack o' Lanterns, Devon; Joan the Wad, Cornwall) elide: lanterns pixies carry, employed by pixies to lead astray or shapeshifting pixies? Anyhow pixies and marsh lights are closely linked and a visit to Sheepstor piskie house is due
