Honestly it feels like a lot of popular romantasy is a backlash to diverse YA books
This whole thread!!! when I talk about YA authors getting picked up to write romantasy, it's overwhelmingly white authors writing het romance. but that represents just a fraction of what's actually happening in the YA space.

Found out that the latest Nobel Peace Prize winner is a staunch ally of Netanyahu's and signed a cooperation agreement with the Likud party, which makes perfect sense. This is a prize that went to Kissinger and Obama, after all.

People celebrating this because Trump is going to be angry... You need to read up on her politics and listen to Latinx journalists about this, instead of being stuck on this US-centric logic. This woman praised Milei and said their projects were on the same length wave, that should give you a clue.
