Pianista.
this shouldn't just prompt a resignation, it's almost like negligent homicide if any of those people died

Yes indeed. The arrogance coupled with the dishonesty makes for a truly venomous combination
imagine watching a small child struggle to breathe because of a measles infection and then going on your radio show to explain that the “human body was designed to fight measles” with the clear implication that if you die your body just wasn’t good enough.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

Look, folks, I did warn you that we were going to stop talking about the Suffering From Inflation™️ & the nonexistent Recession once Joe Biden was no longer in the White House. It was entirely predictable.

A message to the world:

The United States is not represented by Trump. He acted unilaterally and unconstitutionally. He and his regime in power are not a representation of the American people, and we strongly condemn this attack. We want peace, and we will hold him and his enablers accountable.

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving.

There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later.

They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

Even though Kyle’s post said as much, please do note that the decision here is, solely at this point, a question over criminal detention — not addressing any potential immigration-related detention. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Perhaps Newsom should have spent less time chumming around with authoritarian buffoons on his podcast and more time preparing and strategizing for the entirely predicable thing that is happening in his state right now.
Washington just took the reasonable step of not allowing the National Guard of other states to operate here without our agreement. It’s not the Guard personnel we are concerned about, it’s other governors in the Trump cult. katu.com/news/local/g...

You must always be more disciplined than the forces brought against you. They're allowed to make mistakes. They make the rules. Your mistakes will be used as justification for your own repression.

🚨 ALERTA PHILLY 🚨

Hearing from a very credible local source that there may be ICE action tomorrow (Sunday 6/8) in the following areas:

5th and Washington Ave
7th and Snyder Ave
5th and McKean/Wolf
Chinatown

Let your neighbors know to stay safe and be vigilant. Be ready. Be water.

One way to be a patriot right now is not to engage in doomerism. These people are fascists and they’re very dangerous. But they’re also weak, undisciplined, and unpopular. And they’re losing.
June 8, 2025 at 5:40 AM
Exactly this. Go to TikTok. Look at the lives. It’s 400 people OUTSIDE LA, standing outside an ICE facility and they are making the ruling class shake. This is a sign of weakness on the part of the ruler: they are afraid and they can be stopped.
