It's not for eating obviously, I'm trying to identify each common and uncommon mushrooms I encounter in the woods I go to, but this one I'm kinda lost, even my huge mushroom book can't help me. .. Guess I'll need a microscope !

I know this, but the particular charcoal appearance of this one made me think someone might have an idea, at least to push my investigation further 😔
