I once thought bluesky might be a good alternative to facebook. but after a year, I’m no longer sure. the settings somehow make me want to post only very hermetic, self-contained things — and that doesn’t make much sense. so probably I’ll just stay here. as a reader.

By now, the pattern should be clear. Every major platform follows the same playbook: open, grow, close, monetize. My personal belief is that ChatGPT is the next distribution platform. I think it will happen within the next 6 months (and possibly faster). #chatgpt #brianbalfour #socialmedia
