Pro-natalists: you need to have at least 10 kids

Normal people: why, are you expecting half of them to die before puberty due to lack of modern health and sanitation?

Pro-natalists: you're never gonna believe what we also advocate

I get a sense for the way the winds in the Democratic party are blowing by how people talk about Pete Buttigieg.

Going to keep saying: a society that wants to keep its basic functioning has to discourage lying. rewarding it instead is suicidal
big lesson for america here: one reason you dont elect people who believe bull shit like "theyre eating the pets" or "theyre putting kitty litter boxes in the classrooms" is bc if they get in power theyll believe bull shit like "tariffs are a tax cut actually"

Do clients really want to hire a law firm known for how quickly it rolls over? Yet, now this is Paul Weiss's well deserved reputation.
Jim Cramer on CNBC said that the White House may think that "you can roll China like you rolled Paul Weiss."

Bringing back manufacturing, specifically of high value, strategically important goods, is in the national interest, but it’s a mistake to look at this as a jobs program. Modern factories are highly automated. The actual jobs we need are in home building and childcare/eldercare.

Reactionaries engage in false equivalencies bc they see "cultural conservation" as fundamentally good & progressive activism as misguided, or worse. They support "race science" & junk evopsych, which situates them at the culture war far-right. Their slippery slope fallacies only point left.

Reactionaries attack their political enemies & frame their own political preferences in self-serving, non-ideological terms such as: despising the political extremes or being anti-totalitarian. When "centrists" call Trump "woke" they're not using the term in a novel way.

Would not surprise me if this administration terminates police hiring grants, to cities, and offers to "supplement" departments with Federal law enforcement officers.
