I know it makes me a dopey old square, but I honestly do believe the mere act of taking a call like this should get any legislator bounced in shame from public life forever.
Former president Donald Trump spoke by phone this week with a Nebraska state senator as part of a last-minute push to change how the state allocates its electoral votes and block the easiest path Vice President Kamala Harris has to win the White House.
Trump ramps up push for Nebraska to change electoral vote allocation
Nebraska is one of two states that award some of its electoral votes by congressional district. A vote from the Omaha area is part of Harris’s easiest path to victory.

UH-OH: The slowest mail in the country is in key swing states, NBC investigations finds
Tens of thousands of voters were disenfranchised by slow mail in 2020. NBC found some of the country’s slowest mail is in presidential swing states with strict mail ballot delivery deadlines.

Pro-Trump Georgia election board votes to require hand counts of ballots
Critics plan to sue, saying the new requirement would almost certainly lead to errors and could disrupt the process of certifying the vote in a crucial battleground state.

Update: Still stalled at $1200.
The collection agency is not budging, the lowest they will go is still $6300. I am looking into bankruptcy now, but am unsure how that will affect our ability to move afterward.

Meanwhile, the need for gas & groceries continues. (Those links will be in the comments)

We're 6.5 weeks from Election Day 2024 & the GOP is attempting all these changes:
