as someone who's super autistic about logo design..

the #NintendoSwitch2 doesn't have ..the *worst* logo i've ever seen, but perhaps the most disappointing.

i feel like i managed something better in five minutes low effort on my laptop. (surely given time i or the fandom could do way better even.)

i know have even older designs on a hard drive.. but a lot of the design and style in the current concept originated from this one sketch.

been stumped for a while on what to call my golem things, but currently considering calling them "amatons," a pun on italian word "amato" (beloved) and automaton.

as for individuals, i've hard a hard time coming up with any names.. (1/2)

spent basically all of today trying to animate my stretchy golem thingy.. managed to get like half of it done.

experimenting with my telescopic IK arm again.

i was pretty satisfied with how the original turned out, but wanted more control over bend and individual points; that's the sucky part about IK.

here's my progress so far.. cool, but still not quite there. (1/2)

some more glamour shots.

i tried to stay authentic to the original design while "chibi-fying" it up. i didn't end up modeling the firebox, i figure it would be make sense as a texture down the line. currently the lettering is the only actual texture present, so it could stand to be optimized.

i haven't much experience in modeling vehicles.. even in low poly it's difficult, but i like how they are coming along.

I don't think I've laid out a timeline for the process for this character, but I wanted to share, perhaps do a video in the future.

It was an interesting exercise where the design of a bee emerged from a necessity of things I wanted it do.
