I trained to teach in the Blair years and it was great.. and schools were rapidly improving- been so sad to see the underfunding take hold and now the recruitment and retention crisis means schools just can’t get staff.. I left in 2023 due to the stress and the impact on my health

Ooh yes.. my nearly 18 year old is so sensible and yet I don’t sleep till he’s home and I am dreading him going to university… I’ll miss him so much! It’s truly awful…

No I am sad tho that I couldn’t make it work as I really did love teaching just the toll on my health and wellbeing was too high…

Farmers need help. But from #farmwashing & supermarkets making huge profits while squeezing payments to farmers - the #IHT hue & cry is disingenuous. Dyson & Clarkson have voices & RW media support.

Will inheritance tax changes really mean the end of Britain’s farming?
The farming lobby is protesting loudly that the budget changes to inheritance tax will kill family farms. So should we be alarmed?

I’m a project lead in a large MAT - it’s a lovely organisation to work for I have to say..

I have to say for now I don’t miss teaching or the middle leadership role I had.. I did 20 years and it was brilliant but time for a change! I was lucky in some roles that I had freedom to adapt and change things but not in others.. I stayed longer where I had more freedom!

Its quite telling that i feel so guilty about not teaching and that any job in education which isn’t teaching is less worthy but reality is that it’s not family friendly and it’s extremely mentally, emotionally and physically draining teaching and mfl seems more challenging than other subjects..

I left teaching because of the overwhelming pressure mentally and physically which I put myself under to deliver.. I was exhausted.. just never felt like I’d got on top of it all and mfl is a tough ask…
