Not really feeling like sunshine and rainbows with the F-whatever-the-fuck war plane cruising above Toronto right now. I wish we would stop having these regular city-wide trigger sessions. #CIAS #BoycottCIAS #FuckTheAirShow #ExcuseMyFrench

In 1933 Christie Pits in Toronto was where the Nazi threat in Canada made their first stand. They were chased off the streets by baseball bats.
The racist are once again coming to Christie Pits on Sept 13.
The park belongs to the people. Not the haters.
Time to put the run on the racists.
There’s a counter rally organized by Workers Action Centre: actionnetwork.org/events/Sep13... from noon to 4:30 at Christie pits

On September 13th, a group of fascists have organized and advertised to rally at Toronto’s Christie Pits park for a pro-deportation / anti-immigrant agenda. The community has in turn organized a counter rally same day/time/location, which I hope you will join! :)

Monarch, precious little endangered thing soon to be on its way all the way from Toronto to Mexico. Mind blowing how they manage it every year with their tiny fragile wings.

In a pretty special moment, saw a Grey Heron on the Humber River today. It was camouflaged against the rocks and tree branches, felt like a rewarding discovery.

Inspired by @mister._.rain original Tour Lego on Harbord, this community led urban artwork encourages passersby to add to the tower. Donations of new bricks are always welcome!

I wish decors like this would stay around forever.
Lots and lots of real live plants. Assortment of wall mounted beauties: personal photos, one off photo of a menu item, clock, framed newspaper articles, to-go bags, TV, and love.

This weekend I wrote about Doug Ford’s plan to sell off a large chunk of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Exactly the opposite of what should be happening: parkland expansion.
Shawn Micallef: Doug Ford’s plan to sell off chunks of this popular beach threatens something we should hold dear
If Doug Ford wanted to create a real legacy, he’d start an aggressive expansion of public parkland in Ontario to keep up with its massive population.
