It has kept me so busy scrolling I have not committed a large number of attention and thrill seeking crimes that I undoubtably otherwise would have committed for thrills and attention.

I hate that I could wholeheartedly get behind this if there wasn't an absurd conflation between struggles between "imperialist powers" and the palestinian resistance.

I know what MMTers believe, but money merely represents value. You cannot "create" new value without productive activity. The MMT description of *currency* creation is correct for currency but completely obfuscates the purpose of currency, pretending that international markets will play along.

The state isn't the source of money in any meaningful sense *production* is. Currency only represents production.

you download an image (to view, in browser) and clear the browser image cache straight away you're not able to do something like a basic google search without turning off the ability for your browser to view images either lol. At that point you're just fucked and need a new computer.

Most mastodon instances are moderated, many of them also limit who they fedrate to to those who moderate along similar lines - some merely blacklist (rather than whitelist). But again, like if you think that the government are watching your computer so closely that you're going to get arrested if

I mean that's not a given at all, you also do not need to cache any images, you can even simply *not download* images if you're really paranoid about it (which in most places is overkill).

Its not illegal to post on a website with no ToS. If running one is there's others or there's ones in other countries with better rules.
Mastodon is just as serious as any other social media, nerdier audience sure but that's nbd (and can shift).
