I mean my bowel movements also have a rhythm and were not out here tapping into the mystical energy of that, let my periods be. Bodily functions do not inspire me, they are merely functions.

and also, besides the actual liberation and equality aspect of it, not getting my period is dope. never fucking liked having it, so fucking rad to just be able to opt out. had a short break off BC between IUDs and ho boy never again, I cannot do that shit even one more time, let alone MONTHLY my god

my IUD is literal freedom. I am so profoundly grateful to have access to it. I cannot imagine my life without access to safe and reliable birth control. I literally owe my life to it. I cannot imagine experiencing being a woman today and still not recognizing that fact.

it is truly mind blowing that along my family line I am essentially only the second generation of women capable of safely and consistently controlling pregnancy, and from what I understand I also may be literally the first generation to not have had my life impacted by an unwanted pregnancy

the idea that BC exists & is only taken by women coerced by men solely for their own sexual gratification is such a wildly ignorant take that suggests you’ve never learned a single thing about women’s history

also maybe relevant- the tv that the frame replaced was like 10 years old and much smaller, & I was perfectly happy with that tv as it was, so that’s to say I am not someone who knows or cares about best tv quality and was easily impressed by the upgrade to any smart tv. Still love my frame but YMMV

I felt stupid buying one but tbh it’s one of my best purchases. It’s just so much nicer to have art to look at vs a big blank black square in the middle of everything. I think it’s best suited for if you live in a small space where your tv room is kinda your everything room though,

when I say this in New York though people freak out and insist they prefer the higher temps and it’s just sad watching people be so wrong and confused about their own lived experiences. Thank god they have me, if only they understood the wisdom I bring.

Snow is less cold than freezing rain because you can move through it without getting soaked. Again, you can play in it. And the sun reflecting off of it makes everything super bright and sunny. Snow is so, so, SO much less misery making and isolating than rain
January 6, 2025 at 1:58 AM
literal utter misery. that IS why everyone here has seasonal depression. Freezing rain actually makes it impossible to live in the winter, to go outside or go anywhere
January 6, 2025 at 1:55 AM
you sickos *prefer* freezing rain for months on end over actual snow??? Insanity. Unworthy to even debate. Snow can be brushed off! Snow can be moved through! Snow can be enjoyed! The right winter gear and 27 degrees is nothing! But freezing rain???? Grey skies and getting soaked through AND frozen?
January 6, 2025 at 1:54 AM
I will die on this hill: a 35-45 degree winter is a billion BILLION TIMES MORE MISERABLE THAN A COLDER ONE
January 6, 2025 at 1:52 AM
so anyways, this is a message for any other children of boomers who grew up catholic: never forget they prefer the suffering. Alleviating life’s small miseries with little indulgences and small luxuries is an affront to their way of life. Save your money 😂

this is also the same woman who buys 1 ply sandpaper-esque toilet paper and also adamantly refuses to let us upgrade her 20 year old builder’s grade shower head with a nicer one
