Gaara recently had to make a trip to the vet. He may or may not need surgery in the next few weeks to remove bladder cysts, fingers crossed the meds work to break them up instead. I still owe $200 for the four day animal hospital stay.

He did, I remember it vividly because when my dad died he dedicated a poem to me. We met at one of my gigs, I was singing “Chasing Cars” and he loved it & filmed it. Said he’d show it to his good friend the lead singer of Snow Patrol. Told me later on that he did, in fact, show him. Such a sweetie.

I went to Trinidad for Carnival, to do makeup for people playing Mas. Ended up doing a few other jobs also
Which was great fun. Carnival Tuesday morning, we were going from midnight until 11am. My partner helped me make a great recap vlog of that day.

Left: May 31 2021, age 39. Ten days b4 I finally told my ex to leave. You can see every bit of exhaustion & illness in my face. It’s so gaunt, & belies the fact that my body was inflamed, hurting from cortisol burnout, & 30lbs heavier. Right: Jan 11 2025, almost 43. SO much happier & healthier.

I really liked my makeup last night. (Before the 2 hour gig where I sweated and sang and stomped around on stage in front of the band, and after I got home. Only my lip gloss didn’t survive.
