I present as a "funny little guy" in the Quark sense. Also, in the sense that I'm actually not very short. Also, in the sense that I may be enby(?). Also, in the sense that I'm not aways funny.
I started a playthrough of Pandemic Legacy Season One in late 2019 with my family. For some reason, about six months in, they never really wanted to finish the campaign.

It is not making me watch more YouTube videos, its just making me scroll through thumbnails quicker to prevent an autoplay preview. I wish there was some way to turn it off in the Android app.

Domino's pizza: I agree. Domino's lava cake is the only reason to order from them.

Correction: I got everyone who played a crewmember of the ship to sign. I don't think I'm going to be able to get that Chiwetel Ejiofor signature at this point.

Neither do I. That's why I got the whole cast to sign my Serenity poster, and have never tried to hunt down the showrunner's.

A lot of Firefly is problematic, in hindsight and at the time, but it was important to me at an impressionable time in my life that still informs who I am today.

Just to set a baseline, "Weapons" walked up to the line, and in one or two scenes crosses it, but it was tolerated because the movie was compelling enough.

Interesting. This may be a "let's try watching it and if it is too much we will stop" type situation then.

How graphic is the gore in this movie? I remember being interested in the trailer, but my wife has a pretty low gore in movies tolerance. She enjoys horror, but the nature of most horror means we often end up more in suspense territory. Do you think I should just find the time to watch it on my own?

How embarrassing! I would hate for your reply to look like it is getting engagement to influence the algorithm. That would be the worst!

I don't know if the data is bearing this out, but my pet theory is that piracy will become more mainstream again in states and countries that put in place half baked age verification laws, as more people there get VPNs to get around them. Hooray for unintended knock on effects!

I say go for it, but remember that many Bothans have tried and failed at the task.

It is mind blowing - but not really - how much more often that the most correct answer these days is becoming "Support creators as directly as you can and then set sail. 🏴‍☠️"

Keep reading the Dresden Files. Savor them though. You are about where I was when I caught up with the author about 20 years ago, and it has been torturous waiting for each new book. No spoilers, so I'll just say that Butcher gets better at weaving the disperate plot lines and characters together.

I'm not an audio book guy but my brother has had an Audible subscription for years. Does anyone know a way to export the audio books he has to one of the alternative platforms without repurchasing? I want to convince him to give less money to JB, but know he will not if there's too much friction.

The most influential lore for me to the pair is apparently the game Rampage today. Whoops.

Okay, so the analogy is not really a good one, but you understand the sentiment?

An Ellison takeover is probably the worst of all outcomes, but it still feels like cheering for Godzilla beating out King Kong. Either will flatten the city in the end. This much power and media consolidation is bad for everyone but the shareholders.

Someone I know is seriously giving thought to buying a large external SSD and a 🏴‍☠️ hat instead. Not me of course. Admitting to that on the open internet would not be smart, but I know a guy. 👀

It's one of those "If Gavrilo Princip never got TB or picked a different sandwich shop that day, World War I wouldn't have happened the way it did," type scenarios. The web of alliances was too fragile for A great war not to have happened, but it would have started a different way.

I don't actually blame those involved, but when I am looking at Domino Effects, I blame the mishandling of the character of Kes on Star Trek: Voyager for the state of the world today.

Note that I don't blame the actress herself. She just got dealt a poor hand.

It is (barely) not a Star, but an Element.
