This seems like a repeat of those twits who said Trek was clearly a totalitarian surveillance state. It's just someone trying to justify the holes in his moral compass, and can be left in the trash with all the other "being good is the REAL evil akshully" takes.

1. Letting them go looks weak
2. Deportation is slow and cannot be sped up past a certain point.
Once that happens, starvation and disappearance become a *feature*. It cuts down the paperwork and lowers the food bill, while providing lots of footage of human misery to prop up your strongman image.

She hasn't. She's trying to be as vicious as possible in the hope of getting one, but she clearly knows deep down she'll be put on her own party's deportation list the moment she's out of office.

I've also had this happen and I'm Australian with UK ancestry on both sides. Led to me being invited to a BAME meeting and caused some very awkward scenes from black colleagues who thought I was barging my way in.

The original 1990s game reverted to beginner on loading a save, yes. It's why Terror from the Deep is so difficult - the devs thought their playerbase must be really hardcore and craved a challenge, but in fact they'd all been playing on Easy.
