I'm a little stunned that she's sitting there feeling hurt when it's clear there's something really wrong with him. I had a friend who started texting crazy shit to a group chat. We immediately hunted down a family member. It turned out he had a 105 fever.

Unless they're Dem presidents, in which case they face consequences for made-up actions. "Consequences" is more a matter of favor or retribution than cause and effect.

Excellent points. I refuse to engage in anything based on assumptions that my students are "cheaters" (so, no Turnitin, either). How can you have a productive learning relationship if it's based on distrust?

I had many students with accommodations in my college teaching career-- & all were able to demonstrate their learning with that support. Just as importantly, I learned what's really important in evaluation & became a convert to UDL so all my students had more opportunity to succeed.
