Where does is all lead to. Bluntly I think the McSweeney pivot has been a mistake. It assumes that Labour-curious voters in the marginals Labour needs to win are fundamentally different from Labour-curious voters elsewhere. And that social values are the key difference. 13/n

Have you read the book Time to Think? I have. Fine to disagree with it but to call the people who did that detailed work, who are clearly concerned about possible harm to children fascists is mad. And it does nothing for the cause of Trans people.

Hubbard got to go to the Olympics. NZ could only send a limited number of people for that event so she displaced a female NZ athlete. The displaced athlete didn't even get a chance. She missed out because her place was taken by a biological male in a sport with one of the biggest male sex advantages

I knew I was right not to vote for her. Our CLP endorsed Philipson despite our MP who is a minister endorsing Powell. She has gone down in my estimation quite a bit. Presumably she actually knows Powell personally and didn't clock this

that would be an own goal for sure but not making any material improvement to public services and the public realm would also be a major own goal. Personally I would rather pay more income tax and have the country work a bit better but appreciate that is not the mainstream view
