I don’t remember any input from kris in the shop, but either way the puppet connection is there, as kris doesn’t freak out the same way after fighting any other boss.

I believe theyre mostly shaken by what happens to spamton after he tries to free himself. Eventually Kris is going to free themselves from the soul, so watching spamton’s fate seems to spell danger to them.
