Waiting for the current administration to use this as an excuse to lean even harder into oil drilling because "we're going to need the most tremendous oil drillers in the world to one day train to be astronauts and drill that asteroid apart, an asteroid nobody voted for by the way, so sad."
Asteroid 2024 YR4 has a 2.3% chance of impacting Earth in 2032. NASA and other space agencies are tracking it. If action is needed, options like kinetic impactors or nuclear deflection could alter its course. This is why the U.S. should fund real space programs, not SpaceX. Greed won't defend us.
