I don't know the exact location here, but post offices plus these buildings are federal buildings in Los Angeles

Using my OAuth2 client to power a Google API library that I'm writing in @unison-lang.org. I doubt I'll ever fully implement this thing by myself. The API is massive! (First steps are calendar, gmail, forms, because that's what I use for my geeky fanfiction stuff!)

Been working on an OAuth2 client in @unison-lang.org using an "ability-maximalist" approach for ad hoc polymorphism. Just an experiment, but it is really satisfying to run the code, have it open my browser, have me log into Google and authorize, and then see the rest of auth happen as expected!

For posterity, this is how the account appeared to me. Nothing about a woman.

Hello to all people who followed me because I was in the Unison starter pack! I promise I will talk about Unison sometimes, but my country is kind of going to shit right now and I apologize that I am consumed by #bookbinding and fascism at the moment (bookbinding unrelated to fascism).

How my #bookbinding project is coming along. To do: leather label for the spine, trim the bookmark, and wrap for the Paris trip! (I've done a second book in parallel for a second friend.)

This, followed up by Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, and Paprika is an unreal achievement. Four films, all bangers, and then he dipped from the world too soon.

This cheered me up today.

No one told me adding the end papers would be what makes it feel real to me. #bookbinding

They've arrived, and they are gorgeous! Marbled papers by Claire Guillot and Papiers Prina for end pages. To be used for a novel about a terrorist attack and one about grieving a parent dying of cancer. #bookbinding

Hope I don't eat my words when it comes to rounding and backing, but I'm pretty chuffed with how the sewing is going. Not perfect, but easier then I was afraid of. #bookbinding

This image sends me into a fit of despair. An unparalleled romantic masterpiece that takes place in a country rapidly rising by every metric.

This week in #writing, I have a god explain wavefunctions to a time-traveling child.

I remind everyone that in the case of my contributions, quantity is not the same thing as quality :) It's still cool to be up there, though.

Same text. Green is Apple Preview of a PDF. Bottom is (grayscale) Acrobat Reader. Peep the text spacing in the speech bubbles. Preview has a bug. Glad I caught this before I bound the book! How does such a long-supported format viewer have such a glaring bug?! #bookbinding
