When is the point of no return for extending ACA tax credits?

They expire 12/31, so that’s a drop dead date.

Open enrollment starts November 1. If they’re not extended by then, enrollees may start dropping out. Even if open enrollment is extended, people could be hard to reach.

The SCOTUS decision preserves free preventive health care and sets the stage for a bigger role for RFK Jr. in determining what's covered.

Good news! SCOTUS has ruled that the US Preventive Services Task Force can continue determining which preventive care services must be covered at no cost - meaning everything from PrEP to cancer screenings must be covered.

While this is good news, let’s continue to push for healthcare for all!
Supreme Court endorses Obamacare panel that requires free preventive care
The case grew out of a conservative religious challenge to the approval of HIV prevention treatments that insurers are required to provide at no cost to patients.

Just because this Court chooses neither to acknowledge violations of the Equal Protection Clause in plain sight, nor to engage with the evidence base for gender affirming care, does not change the fact that this care is life-saving. The fight continues today and every day.

Nothing sums up the state of affairs for transgender Americans quite like the US Supreme Court denying trans people life-saving healthcare at the same time that the Trump administration shuts down suicide prevention programs for LGBTQ people.
