She makes it so hard to get anything done. Annie isn't a lap cat, but she will lean on me until she's half on top of me, so she still manages to pin me down.

We have very different ideas about how people develop, but I agree with his conclusions. He just spouts a lot of libertarian, bioessentialist bullshit along the way, which I have no patience for.

It's hot chocolate time! This one was inspired by German chocolate cheesecake, with coconut flakes and chocolate ganache. I thought it would be crazy sweet but the dark chocolate helped tone it down.

I've fallen behind on posting my hot chocolate pics, but I've still been getting them, so here's a black forrest inspired cup.
It was okay. The candied cherry was a little too candied for my taste, and there was a spice in it I didn't enjoy. Still delicious though. 😋

This is also why I'm so interested in the imagined emancipation of the robot workforce. If a robot, a being built and designed to be a slave, is able to break their chains and achieve self-actualization, then maybe humans can too.

Today's hot chocolate is inspired by a Nanaimo bar. It had custard whip cream, chocolate milk, coconut syrup and dark chocolate drizzle, plus a little Nanaimo bar. It was so good, probably my favorite so far. And I don't even like Nanaimo bars.

Today I had a lavender honey hot chocolate from the HC festival, with lavender syrup, honey, puffed rice, lav buds and a honey cookie.
Beautiful but sadly a bust. Turns out I don't like lavender. The buds on top did not jive with me. And the cookie was dry. I'm glad I tried something different tho

This was excellent. Very sweet, but the spiced HC rounded out the flavour. The marshmallow was to die for. 😋

I painted some new abstracts! The yellow and orange canvas is an acrylic pour that I added to with paint markers. The purple and green painting is made entirely out of fingerprints, with a little brush work to clean it up.

My cat is a fiend for little hidey holes. If you show her a bag or a box, she perks up and immediately goes inside. Every time. Even if she just got out of said bag/box. Even if she doesn't fit.
