A character I'm finalising. He's a tiny, timid boi that often hides indside a shell. When he gather his courage, he'll come out and use the shell as his weapon.

Hey, have you considered using simpler texture (or even just raw color) and a toon shader? Low poly models really don't mesh well with detailed texture. It also help de-clutter your screen (some shots of the trailler really reminds me of the not-so-glamorous parts of the 90s)

PSA: In Godot, if you want to handle root motion data in physics frame , you need to set the AnimationTree's Callback Mode > Process to Physics instead of Idle. Otherwise your character will move at a snail's pace.

You can use Array modifier's Object Offset on a rotated Empty placed in the rotation center. Remember that the origin of the blade should be at where the Empty is if you try this method.

Took me an entire week to figure out how to properly rig this long legged boi. Turns out rigging digitigrade legs can be very tricky...(just slapping IK on it isn't enough!)
