When we try to force the Creation stories (Genesis 1-3) into a historical and scientific framework, it quickly falls apart. That’s because we’re starting from a Modern Western standpoint, rather than allowing the ancient Hebrew (Near Eastern) account to speak on its own terms.

While watching the Kendrick Lamar halftime show, the volume was down and I could tell there was a lot more than what I recognized initially. I rewatched it, and read explanations on Reddit. It was an absolutely brilliant performance, rich in meaning and depth.

While watching the Kendrick Lamar halftime show, the volume was down and I could tell there was a lot more than what I recognized initially. I rewatched it, and read explanations on Reddit. It was an absolutely brilliant performance, rich in meaning and depth.

I come across a lot of questions about salvation and sin as I talk to and mentor people. I thought I would share my perspective, one that blends teachings from Paul, John, James, and Matthew.
