If IVIG ever works well enough to really make a difference, I guess I'm okay driving if I get two weeks off I'm between.

And the next day, you have to be really careful or you bleed through the bandages. But no nurse, and it's a lot less dangerous, and SCIG was working at those high doses whereas IVIG has me getting better at a glacial pace =/

Yeah, it's not as harsh as chemo, but I will also probably have these infusions for the rest of my life.

I'm always torn between IVIG, which 8 hours and has to be done at a clinic an hour away but is every three weeks, versus what I had before, SCIG, which I could do at home but was 13.5 hours.

Appreciated!

(I have an alarm set to remind myself before I head out the door.)

(Though maybe I should put a pillow and blanket in my car, too. Their pillows are... something else, and I always fall asleep since it takes so long.

Hmm.)

In retrospect, that may explain my poor eyeliner skills.

I do the same thing when I catch my reflection in a mirror.

Ugh =( I'm angry there with you.

Aaaw =)

I think a lot about how COVID has shaped creative endeavors. I love the large cast multiPoV epic fantasies, but I see fewer of them from my favorite authors after COVID, and I totally get it.

Our cats really don't like outdoor cats coming through the yard, but there's one who only shows up the day after I see a new mouse trying to move in here, and he catches it in 48 hours, so I keep pretending I don't see him napping on the deck when my cats want me to chase him off.

If you've ever seen @tkingfisher.com post about the "Native Yard Guy," that's actually the same Andrew =) He likes the sun down there, so I miss him, but I keep him updated on all the projects he worked on back here.
November 11, 2025 at 1:12 PM
Honestly, I take a guess when I message updates to Andrew (sort of a real life Disney Princess who used to run the native yard stuff here before moving to New Mexico) and then he corrects me and I post it here under #CatgrassPrairie so I can remember it later =)

This joke works better if we hadn't fjorded up the pronunciation of "kjarr" in the audiobooks despite the real word being pronounced more like car.
