It's weird that despite the internet being less of a supposed wild west nowadays, it feels way more unsafe and dystopian than ever. If I had a kid I would keep them away from it for as long as possible, but it would be so hard to do knowing their friends would be making them feel left out.

I was just going to drop my own hot take on this and say what would really fix this segment is bringing back Anthony Higgs from Other M. He's got actual chemistry with Samus and could bring comic relief that actually works. Even the OM haters usually acknowledge that Higgs was the man.

About the only bonuses you are getting are free online multiplayer and the promise that your library will carry over with every generational upgrade because it's a PC. But I think most console gamers don't look that far ahead and just see the initial price tag and nope out lol.

Just doing a brief check on the Steam Machine myself, it's estimated around 10 tflops of performance, which puts it slightly just below the Series X and base PS5, so in order to be realistically competitive in the console space, it needs to be no higher than $500-600 tops. That's a tough target.

I mean the way I see it trying to map any mouse based control system to something fundamentally not a mouse is going to feel worse no matter what. I would think using joycon mice would be less clunky than a track pad, though that's just me, and I haven't been able to experience them yet to compare.

I just can't get behind those obnoxious touchpads on a controller. If they REALLY have to have mouse support, I feel like they should just make it a separate peripheral that maybe works more like Switch 2 joycons. That just seems like it would be way more comfortable and elegant to me.

Yep, it was from a redraw I did of Rottytops a while back to give her a Majin form like Android 21.

I was originally on cohost too before eventually moving here, though I was better known as MajinRotty at the time and tend to lurk more than post.

That is one expensive rig. I do like the icy aesthetics but I never go for it myself because then I'd also have to replace my mouse, keyboard and monitor to feel satisfied that it matches :p

Surprisingly honest of them to label it "unofficial" lol. Ya think?

If you're a relatively fresh face I'd knock out a few of the classics: Death Note, Psycho Pass (season 1 only), Berserk (1997), Robotech/Macross

Gundam's great but can be a whole can of worms to open. Personally I'd start with 00 and then work your way into some of the UC series.

All are dubbed.

Of all the competitors in this space Microsoft is the least qualified to be thinking they can reach a 30% profit margin goal. Guess they better start researching how to turn Halo into a gacha game lol.

Ohh that. Yeah, that you're just gonna have to close out and restart the game I guess lol.

Just watched a newer live streamer by the name of EmWins play the game for the first time. Her reactions were pretty fun to watch. The VODs are all up on her channel.

I just recently replayed this game and have no memory of this. Is this an issue specifically with the PC port? Because in the SNES version there is a save point right in the cave before the final boss fight. You just walk in, there's like 2 lines of dialogue and the fight begins.

Halo really needs a pick me up after so many duds in a row. And yet it's sounding like the next one is still gonna be another stinker with the current leadership. They really are gonna run a legendary franchise into the grave.

Tbh I don't know how well remembered Perfect Dark is for its campaign. It's the combat simulator where it really shines. The sheer number of options make it endlessly fun to mess around with. But the campaign? Yeah I remember a lot of cryptic BS objectives and confusing level design lol.
