What Corina and others did for their roles, if I ever truly make it? That quality level is what I'd want for my projects. So I hope I can learn more without the emotions and biases of a fan involved. Whew, first time on Blue Skies doing this type of soap box speech. If you read it all, thanks.

Regardless, I hear the will of the fans loud and clear here, we pay for stuff so it's not like we're the ones not keeping our end of the deal. 6.x better not have unvoiced lines. Though I can already tell it won't be the same. I like what I'm hearing of Paimon's new VA but she's no Corina.

Then again, each state has its own labour laws and that might make it hard to have certain contracts. In the end, Contract Workers, no matter the field, suffer a lot. That probably needs Government setup and protections more than anything else.

In the end, I don't feel like one shouldn't need a Union to ensure your talent is being paid. There has to be a better solution. Maybe spending the money made to bring production in-house instead of contracting it out? Otherwise you're going to catch strays by proximity.

What no one will say though, is that to have your production be Union is EXPENSIVE AND PROHIBITIVE for most smaller outfits. You're also bound to laws/rules/etc that can get you in hot water as a foreign entity when doing production overseas too.

On the other hand, I don't agree with SAG-AFRTRA's actions thus far either. They've genuinely hurt the project and caused anyone who enjoys the english version to miss out for an entire year already. In the end, I blame this all on Capitalism. That's why a Union is needed, it created the problem.

What matters to me, as someone who enjoyed the good quality and hard work, is seeing everyone in the production getting paid and making a livelihood. I've spent a lot of money on Genshin Impact, so there will be no Corporate apologist here.

It was so superior it's arguably the reason I fell in love with the game back in 2021 to begin with. That Voice Work brought the setting to life in English. It helped me remember my childhood enjoying the Hong Kong film industry and that higher level of quality is why I say it's superior to anime.
