This wip wednesday I am sharing part of an AU that periodically possesses me that I am determined to finish one day
The Haru Basement AU

She inputs the code on the door and tugs it open. As she slips inside she feels the temperature in the air drop a few degrees, and knows from experience that it'll only get colder the further down she goes. Goosebumps raise on her arms, and she wishes she'd pulled on her warmer cardigan. The boys wouldn't have thought it suspicious, not when they already know most of her plants are outside.Next time, she reminds herself, and descends the stone steps. There is another door at the foot of the stairs. Not locked with a keypad, but a heavy steel door that it takes a moment to unlatch and heave open. It groans as it goes, and once open she clicks on the light. Walls of wine and other spirits greet her- red wine, white wine, plum wine, sake. All stacked neatly on their shelves, everything in its proper order. In the middle of the room is a heavy chair, a new addition since her father died. And sitting on the chair, tied to it at his arms, legs and torso, is a missing celebrity. His pupils always constrict when she turns the light on, too used to the darkness, and he has to blink a few times to get used to it. It always has the effect of making his eyes look weak and watery, rendering his glares pretty much ineffectual. she hears the whisper of her father's voice from when she had looked like that, telling her such pathetic displays of emotion are unbecoming of an Okumura daughter, and her own contempt echoes his. She feels a lot more like her father's daughter here, standing in the wine cellar with her prisoner, than she ever did before. Feeling the control she never had finally at her fingertips, and knowing she could use it to hurt if she wanted to. "Hello, Akechi-kun," she greets pleasantly, letting the door close behind her.

Went to see Hadestown with the original cast and it was absolutely magical. Unfortunately the only photo I got of the curtain call was the cast running away lmao, but I'm so glad I got to have this experience 💕
