Before writing I do what I can to make my space clear and comfortable, in addition to opening the curtains so that I can enjoy the natural light. Staying warm is key, so there's always a blanket and cup of chai within reach.

I count myself VERY fortunate to call this my writing spot.

For the record: there is no shame in admitting that you've been harmed by another person - that's something that kept me silent about this for too long. The silence caused its own harm.

Thankfully, it really is true that time heals all wounds: metaphorical and literal.

A lot can happen in a year.

She let the tension slip from her body in relief and whispered into Liam's ear, "we dodged a bullet there." He grinned and nestled his head into the crook of her neck, loosening his tie.

It's important to create space to pause and think before making big decisions. It may be difficult to believe that others authentically care but it's worth exploring.

The banks of the cove were empty and the shoreline revealed the detritus of a once thriving world. They missed the qualities that the air took on around Ocean and the chorus of reassuring noises that felt like home. Even without having waded beyond the shallows, they missed the sensation of being fully held. A new feeling washed over them as they began to allow for the space to question their reaction. Had they gone out of their way to find reasons to justify a decision made in haste? They had never paused long enough to allow for room to think it through.

Quite nice! The air is clear and crisp, which is excellent because the moon is nearly full. It's a little hard not to feel a bit tense, what with the helicopters and small aircraft flying around, but if you can ignore that and get away from the "unwelcome visitors" around town, life is pretty good.
