It's so telling that he's now calling this the Epstein "hoax", the same way he calls his campaign's Russia collusion a "hoax".

We all know the Epstein ties are real. As are the Russia ties, of course. It's just Trump's standard approach when he's been caught.

The more this ruminates in my head, I suppose he could have had a prior VF event that he survived, and maybe now has an IECD, which presumably saved him this time. No one in their right might would call this a "flare up".

May none of us ever develop a touch of Sudden Death that flares now and then.

His comms team did say a "v-fib flare-up", which, as you correctly note, is not a thing. They also say they took him to the ED "in an abundance of caution".

I can only assume they mean an ATRIAL fibrillation flare-up. Which does happen and could make you fall but isn't, you know, dead, like v-fib.

This time, could we have the interests of the latter win over the interests of the former? Please?

It's pretty AND it keeps us from being Mars.

Pretty cool.

You're right that being a barista takes real skill (people skills and coffee skills), but you couldn't have picked a lower bar.

I've worked for maybe 2, out of many dozens, of C-suite executives who had any idea what the hell they were doing.

Bernie Sanders is quite right: the SENATE agreeing to a vote/discussion/promise/whatever is irrelevant. The Senate could vote 100-0 and the House isn't going to even look at it. Getting a "promise" of a Senate vote is a bag of magic beans.

Jon Stewart's "Weekly Show Podcast" from all of 3 days ago, celebrating the blue wave wins in the election, was asking "How will the Democrats squander it?", half-joking.

Guess we know the answer.

I was asked your original question when I left, in a CNBC interview. Should I have stayed to fight?

I said, "If you were a German citizen and you left in 1934, would you feel you should have stayed to fight, or would you feel you made a good choice for your family?"

I got out at the end of 2020. I fully recognize how privileged I was to be able to do that.

For anyone similarly situated: get out as soon as possible.

None of the expat Americans here are even going back to visit right now. We're all very happy to stay away.

It's almost like staffing a professional bureaucracy with a bunch of self-interested internet trolls doesn't make for a functioning organization!

Who knew?

It's her revenge tour against Trump after he intervened to stop her Senate campaign.
