It’s this time of the year again! I’m seated at my first screening of this year’s Camerimage. I’m starting with Guillermo Del Toro’s “Frankenstein”, and with GDT being one of my favourite directors, I think this is going to be very special!

Thirty years ago, Disney's “Pocahontas” was released in the US. It's a very important film for me, the first one I have seen in the cinema, so it is safe to say it was one of the main reasons for my film-mania.

“Getting Lost” is a fantastic love letter to the groundbreaking TV series and its fans. The creators take a look at the beginnings of the show, and ponder on its growth and phenomenon. While doing this, they don't shy away from some difficult topics, which is really refreshing.

“Wicked” was everything I hoped for, and then some. The production design, the cinematography, the music, the script, the acting, the overall direction… All these things were just perfect. I can’t wait for part 2! Also: Cynthia Erivo is absolutely superb!

[EN] I am currently watching films at the Tofifest International Festival, but I've also taken more active part in another, concurrent festival, Animator. I've subtitled two films: “The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes” and “Ride your Wave” (both moving and beautiful).
