My office has semi-regularly been getting calls from some company employing the use of an AI voice. I joked with my co worker that we should try to break its logic, but they haven’t called me in a while. Until today.

ICE says video from inside the facility "between October 19, 2025, and October 31, 2025, has been irretrievably destroyed" and can't be produced in discovery.

Just found myself on the Wikipedia Talk page for an old employer (lol), curious if the sock puppet drama from 2008-2009 had ever resurfaced - a contagion of COI as a PR firm attempting to shape the article into a marketing piece, deleting all historical references that could make them look bad.

Saw a tiktok trend where people shared their struggle meals growing up poor. I’ll have to think back on it to recognize how many I actually had, but one was taking a chopped onion and sauteeing it in butter until it was almost burnt. Just the onion. Nothing else. Chopped into rings, not bits.

A friend recently told me that they didn’t think ICE would deploy tear gas in well to do neighborhoods with a high density of white people. I understood their thinking, but disagreed. Today, they gassed Lakeview. Nothing is off limits to these people.

Correlation is not causation, I know, but I just got a notification that my resting heart rate average dropped significantly 17 days ago - that’s right around the time I scheduled my first therapy appointment with a new therapist. Just *knowing* I would have someone to talk to improved my health.

There is Yet Another ingress player acting super petulantly & driving miles and miles to throw fields to block where I casually play. All because I smashed a two block radius of unshielded tiny fields right near where I live. I tried to clear some of his spite fields last: he put them right back up

It’s weird to open up SkyCards and see history-in-the-making on the game screen. There are two choppers circling over Broadview, IL - weeks of protests have been occurring here at an ICE processing/detention facility, and there is an increasing amount of militarized response lately.
