i eventually found it, it's the Unity desktop environment. of course it looked different back then compared to now but this is along the lines of what i was remembering.
i'd want to try and see if it's as good as i remember, but it not being on wayland makes me worry a bit

i have about 146 hours of playtime recorded for antonblast and somehow i've NEVER seen this little detail in the Jewel Ghoul boss fight. if you stay idle next to a Cartoons, Anton will just stare at them angrily while Annie acts all like "get a load of THIS guy".

I checked and it seems like these settings are on 24H2 as well, or have been but nobody noticed it. I ran Talon back in March and (supposedly) all updates besides security patches have been disabled, which means that I still have 24H2 and the settings have either been in it or were *just* pushed.

also according to steamdb, apparently in china you can purchase the original release of Ori 1 for less than 10 bucks in-equivalent but DE is for some reason unavailable for purchase? when it's the other way around for every country except for russia (you can't purchase either)

felt like sharing what my linux desktop looks like.
mint isn't really my cup of tea anymore after trying fedora, bazite and cachyos, but neither of them run as well as they do on my laptop, so besides debian and maybe ferenos it was really the only viable option
