You need a cool light gradient for that "off into the distance" effect.

Welcome to "Decal Gradients"!

Subtract Actor Pos from World Pos to anchor the effect to your Decal Actor.

Place the Decal, treat it like a volume. Voila - cheap lighting great with Lumen!

This was our first proper game and the gilded antiquity automaton aesthetic is probably something I'd like to return to in another game someday.

Today of all days seems like an excellent time to join the conversation here.

I'm an indie game dev based in Brighton, UK. I made PERISH on PC and Console with my brother at our 2-person studio, ITEM42.

Character art, environment art, props, weapons, story, music - it's a lot but I do it anyway!
