I love Anita Baker but I really can't argue with this 🤣
I rest my case. Not only does she sound like a ghost, but a mournful one.

"Trump is a narcissist. He’s interested in God only as an endorser, benefactor, or tool in his own career." Maybe we can use his poor theology to our advantage:
Trump Is Worrying About the Afterlife. Thank Heaven.

The Paradox of Prosperity: How Urban Renewal Pushes Workers to the Periphery
By the time I met Cokethia Goodman and her children, they had been homeless for three months. Their ordeal began on an afternoon in August 2018, when Cokethia discovered a terse letter from her lan…

Stunning. “The longer the freeze continues, the greater the risk that low-income households receiving federal rental assistance could face eviction, and in the worst cases, homelessness, homeless shelters may be forced to close their doors.”

This record I picked from the dollar crate with no research is quite good. The switch ups in the rhythm and tempo are immaculate.

Hobo Nickels.

American five-cent coins were hand-engraved by homeless people during the Great Depression. The coins then became tiny works of art, which could be sold or exchanged for more than the value of the coin. Skulls were a frequent theme.

Everyone can’t afford to move. And no one should HAVE to move.

People shouldn’t just feel safe where they live; they should feel that they are vibrantly welcome and included in how that place defines itself.

Ohio isn’t a red state; it’s now a gerrymandered state like too many others.

Heating is a huge source of GHGs, 4x more than cooling globally. Heat pumps provide heat and cooling, much more efficiently than old technology. Let’s do that instead of “it’s hot where’s my spray bottle” (which doesn’t work and makes things worse when it’s humid) bsky.app/profile/wait...
People are posting about AC and climate so a few reminders:

- globally, heating causes 4x (!) the GHG emissions as cooling
- yes, cooling needs will grow as the planet warms, but heating emissions will still be higher than cooling by 2050
- more cooling is essential for human health on a warming 🌎
Analysis | Time to Chill Out About Air Conditioning’s Carbon Footprint
Under almost every plausible scenario, the climate in 2050 will be suffering more from heating homes than cooling them.
