Calling cancer patients “brave” is dehumanising. I think this is because it puts distance between the patient and the other person. It’s not a compliment with any real meaning or recognition behind it.

“You’re so brave. I couldn’t do what you’re doing.”

But what’s the alternative?

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.
Release from HHS: HHS will wind down its development of the mRNA vaccine development activities under the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

Yup, it happens, a lot, in the metastatic breast cancer space
Cancer ghosting may be linked to cancer stigma, which can lead to increased suffering & health disparities & is one more emotional toll for pts who are likely to feel overwhelmed w/anxiety re: their diagnosis & treatment.

We can't afford cancer care for veterans, school lunches for kids or Meals on Wheels for seniors because Trump is spending:

• $1 billion to retrofit a hand-me-down Qatari plane
• $330,000,000 to play golf
• $100,000,000 to build a new ballroom
• $92,000,000 for a birthday parade

But DOGE
Trump trying to distract America with plans for a new $100,000,000 White House BALLROOM

While he STRIPS AWAY health care, food assistance, veterans benefits, Meals on Wheels and basic human rights from MILLIONS OF AMERICANS

And saddles US with another $2,400,000,000 worth of debt
