The evidence is actually pretty strong—strong and growing—that this is far less the case for society generally than it is for elite institutions.
Society generally has recognized him as the embodiment of the will of the Volk in a way that transcends and supercedes the Constitution

And its homeless population that's in the first line of fire? Over 90% Black.

So remember what I said about folks mocking what happens on the Mall being a great cover for him to wreck havoc in Black neighborhoods?

so said so done .

Black people got it immediately , both from EXPERIENCING IT DIRECTLY

and knowing the patterns
This is honestly ridiculous. Deanwood is, of course, a predominantly Black neighborhood! In fact, the neighborhood I went to and taught high school in!

I think this will be overstatement until it’s not. I think we’ll see more situations like the ICE detentions of Senator Padilla and Newark Mayor Baraka; I think the plan is to look for a scenario they can turn into a full-scale prosecution as a step toward fuller intimidation of Congress.
Democratic law makers are no longer safe in D.C.

I hope they know that.

Don’t get diagnosed with autism in the United States unless you absolutely cannot get by without services or accommodations. That’s where we are now. I’ve been warning that it was a possibility in a country with such a eugenicist history for years, and here we are.

Well, after a number of years of being a medical mystery, I have some unfortunate diagnoses: stage 3 chronic kidney disease (after a recent progression) and cervical myelopathy. The latter is progressive too, but the progression can be halted with spinal surgery.

Just came on here to say, because most people I’ve seen commenting on this don’t seem overly familiar with his work… Mahmood Mamdani is a brilliant political scientist in the postcolonial tradition. He wrote an excellent book called “When Victims Become Killers” about the colonial narratives that…
