Another painful example of how the NFP board model fails the theaters and communities these boards commit to serve. It doesn't have to be this way. But positive change requires re-envisioning the board's role and shifting power dynamics to better align in meaningful support of the mission.

I’ve kept my subscription for now because of articles such as this I am furious w/NYT for the reasons you cite and their anti Trans slant and misogyny in their Harris coverage, etc. I highly recommend going to the library (ah, libraries!) to read this thought provoking and nuanced article.
