According to Rep. Bob Onder's online Government Shutdown Resource Guide, air travel is normal. Surely the people in his mid-Missouri office have heard the news?? Seems unlikely that as a pilot he wouldn't know that airports in his district aren't working: www.kbia.org/missouri-new...

Missouri @momsdemand.bsky.social volunteers attended Rep. Kathy Steinhoff's campaign kickoff. When she launched her 1st #moleg campaign gun violence was 1 of 2 issues she ran on. With this issue MUCH discussed in Columbia now I'm glad to know she'll continue the work on commonsense gun safety policy

"While armchair diagnoses of Trump’s mental state have long been something of a fool’s game (an ethically dubious one at that), we’ve nevertheless reached a point where even the most casually tuned-in observer can see a president in obvious decline."
Today in @thenation.com, the one and only @therafischwartz.bsky.social asks a pertinent question: isn't it time we started paying more attention to the fact that Trump's brain appears to constantly be oozing out of his ears into a puddle on the floor?

We Have to Talk About Donald Trump’s Brain
Are we just going to sit around and pretend that the president isn’t having a lot of… questionable moments these days?

I'd need to know more about whether the minister shot in the face with a chemical agent from point-blank range before weighing in on it. Maybe it was good that it happened.
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

Great news: Extremists found someone to hold accountable for childhood harm.

Bad news: it’s not the gun industry that is killing our kids, it’s Tylenol.

While the gun industry celebrates their Congressional handout, PLCAA, gun violence is the #1 cause of death for American children.

The President responded to peaceful protesters across this country with a video of himself wearing a crown, driving a fighter jet, and bombing peaceful protestors with human waste.

Are you kidding me? Republicans don't say anything about this? It's a total disgrace.

An important read this Domestic Violence Awareness Month:

“Guns amplify the inherent power and control dynamics characteristic of abusive intimate relationships, whether as lethal weapons to injure and kill or as a tool to inflict emotional abuse without ever firing a bullet.”
America Is an Increasingly Dangerous Place for Women and Girls
In America's hyper-macho, gun-drenched culture, growing up female has never been safe. But under the Trump administration, America is becoming a much more dangerous place for women and girls. America is dangerous for women and girls because our leaders...

I know it's cliche to yell about it at this point, but it remains true that the asymmetries in how the parties are treated by US political & media institutions is at the root of everything. Dems have standards so they are held to standards. Rs don't, so they aren't.
