I worked in a HS library in idaho for about ten minutes. One of the reasons I decided not to continue in that role was because I got chastised for not saying the pledge of allegiance. It creeps me out so I don’t say it.

TJ cashiers be skeptical. One time at ALA in Chicago, I tried to explain to the TJ cashier that most librarians are punk af activists. Tons of us were in town and like 95% dressed for PRIDE fest happening same week. They didn’t believe me despite my rainbow jacket and ALA lanyard. We tried?
