I think about this one and start chuckling to myself at random times in my life

Yeah, okay. That's reasonable.

alright, fine

We were winning despite the stats, losing despite the stats, and now finally losing consistent with the stats... all it takes is a good run to get is in range and suddenly we're contenders. Just looking for nuanced positions.

I just find it hard to believe that it's so obviously not salvageable, given where we were last season. The severity with which people seem to be reverting to, "the sky is falling" is jarring, to say the least.

I just wonder if there's anything to the idea that as the season goes along, he becomes at least serviceable (which he has not been, really).

One player made us go from tops in the league to a lottery team. Alright.

That doesn't really answer the question.

What is the difference from this year's roster to last year's that takes us from President's Trophy to the lottery? Ehlers?

For what?
December 3, 2025 at 12:46 AM
That is unfortunate. Is Toews' performance showing any signs of improvement? One might expect a slow start after such a layoff. (I still think of him as a 4th line C and "locker room guy".)

If the margins are so slim, can they not recover?

I've had a couple shots of Bacardi 151; those were pretty hard

Comrie seems to have been playing much better when he wasn't "the guy"

"bang...bang"
November 27, 2025 at 1:32 AM
my ears are burning

A much-welcomed measured (both figuratively and literally) take on the game

Seems like that inconsistency is part of why these underlying numbers are important/informative.

Definitely both for me - the latter feels like it ought to be a super irrational concern, but Trump's BS is so random and unpredictable that it's not worth tempting fate. Mostly, though, it's the whole, "I do not want to support the American regime in any way, shape, or form" thing.

That reminds me of the fairways at Kildonan Park
