OTTAWA - Canadians thinking of planning a trip to the United States are being advised by the Government of Canada to perhaps consider going anywhere else on the entire fucking planet for their summer ...

So proud of my little town right now. When they did the annual repaint of the Pride crosswalk, they used trans flag colours. It's beautiful and some symbolic support for the trans citizens of our community.

Rewatching Sailor Moon and 30 years later I'm still wondering where the f*ck is Tuxedo Mask keeping those roses?

I have to say that the optics of pushing new pipeline construction and unrestrained O&G exploitation while thousands of Canadians have been forced to flee wildfires (which are worsening due to anthropogenic climate change) are really bad. It's certainly an interesting and potentially risky choice.

With regards to PP and Stornoway. The question I ask is whether he would have moved out if he became PM and was no longer entitled to live there as LOO. We all know he would have moved out happily. The only difference is he's no longer entitled to live there because he's no longer an MP.

This is one of the reasons that I was relatively restrained in my reaction to PP losing his seat. His only real job ever has been as an MP. What else can he do? Also, the Conservative party is too dependent on his rage baiting and harnessing the young male rage vote to stop now.

So, Conservatives, how much is that by-election going to cost? I thought you were supposedly all about fiscal conservatism? Seems like a waste of $$$$ when we just had an election in that riding *checks notes* 4 days ago.

The more Alberta tries to blackmail the rest of Canada into voting for the extreme right wing Conservative party, the more irritated I become. I will not bow to those who do not respect women's, 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, or minority rights or who promise to use section 33 of the Charter.

Periodic reminder that there is nothing you can give the far right that will satisfy them.

Remove a right, they’ll go after another. Attack a minority, they’ll want worse attacks and find new groups to attack.

There’s no end to the authoritarianism. Just more, and worse, until everyone’s crushed.

Expecting the misogyny and anti-Quebec sentiment on the right to ramp up a thousandfold as they blame them for the Liberal victory.

I had to check if this was real. It is.

We have a US president lobbying our annexation, who's threatened economic force to do so. Unprecedented.

Today we're choosing who fights for this country. Who stands up for Canada & resists the right-wing populism that led our neighbour to this place. Vote.

On the National Day of Mourning, we remember the workers who lost their lives or were injured on the job. We also remember their families whose lives were changed forever. We owe it to every worker to keep pushing for stronger protections & enforcement, and true workplace safety.

It's pretty bonkers that the crowd that the Cons have been courting over the past few years didn't just adopt their F*uck Trudeau/Liberals/PersonOfTheDay as a belief, it actually became their entire personality. How can we ever get through to these people?

I've actually run out of non-swear words to describe the ramblings of this malignant moron. If I could physically move Canada away from this dangerous, malignant idiocracy, I would do it.
Well that's not great. time.com/7280114/dona...

RE: Carney-Trump call. I don't know where the media is trying to go with T's mention of the 51st state bs during what was likely a typical deluge of verbal diarrhea from T during the call, but PMs and their staff are typically circumspect about these types of calls, so nothing unusual there.

I knew he couldn't keep it inside for very long. Nice to know that former PM Trudeau continues to live rent-free in his head.
Trump brings up "Governor Trudeau" and says, "I have to be honest. As a state, it works great. As a nation ... why are we spending $200 billion? It doesn't make sense."

🇨🇦 Hey ladies,
If you've ever needed health support & services, or struggled to get care or surgery, you might want to check out the difference between the two platforms👇.

Don't get me started on childcare support, which the Liberals support en masse, an investment that helps to GROW 📈 our ECONOMY.

The choices in this election are stark. 1. Do you want to build Canada up (Carney/Libs) or do you want to tear it down (PP/Cons)?
April 22, 2025 at 9:12 PM
The Cons are really putting the $$$ out for TV ads. However, trotting out Stephen Harper is not the asset they seem to think it is.
