More like Pro Hack Vice. AUSAs don't have to file PHV motions. I appeared in dozens of districts as a Main Justice attorney and never filed one PHV motion. Idiots. AUSAs frequently show up in other Districts when there's a conflict. They never file PHVs.
In the Abrego [Garcia] case, DOJ is bringing an AUSA in from WDOK, which is ... interesting (bc thus far only the US Attorney himself from TN has made an appearance).
As an AUSA I wouldn't think he'd need to PHV anyway?
