My thing is it’s not as if these were emails about going to cool culturally important places like art houses or forgotten clubs networking with future artists: its a bunch of rich assholes in places that cater to rich assholes, U can get that in any City.

I disagree a bunch but Klein he knows his shit. He could have done his ‘political violence is wrong’ in usual lib way but this feels like a reverse ratchet job: his blinders are not normally this thick. Dude wrote an op ed calling out unabashedly saying this admin is authoritarian a week ago.

Conservatives refuse to see MAGA was always about power and that there has to be a reason, rational or not, to want to kill democracy and go authoritarian. The new world they want they assume they will have the monopoly on power from the President to Trump rally goer.

I mean there are basic societal norms; if you’re being a dickhead someone is going to call you a dickhead. Issue is they want to move in these same circles and have the behavior bend in their direction as opposed to, well not being a dickhead.

Yup. I was shocked because I thought surely I got my people mixed up because who would give this asshole this kind of press. And you figured it would be a vicious takedown in the interview but it was very ‘Agree to disagree’🥰 if they pushed back at all at his responses.

Just showed the site is cooked and the short golden era is over; all these are replies are intentional bad faith arguments for engagement, a la twitter. Waiting for the opposite engagement wave: we can argue ordering takeout is hateful since some people don’t have phones, lol.

Yup. I get it, she wasn’t even in the same section. I would do it depending on how asked, but I understand if someone would take the request the wrong way. I still get asked if I am a worker in a retail store…even if they wear uniforms.

I live around the corner; in a 2 block radius you can see the Nets, hang in a chaotic neutral dog park and experience DJ’s from 90’s golden era hip-hop at Bier Wax. Across the street from there is a park where the remnants of a now gentrified but formerly Puerto Rican block BBQ and talk shit.

Great take! We talk about artists and their phases: Thin White Duke Bowie, Miles electric and K.Dot in his villain phase. He went from a therapy album to an anti-therapy album; it somehow doesn't feel like a regression even though it should.
