It's such a good look.

It seems cruel to subject Ziwe to 8m of Sam Altman so soon after the Eric Adams interview.

Asked Osse if he's still going to run despite this vote.

His response:
November 24, 2025 at 6:45 PM
That is laughable. The idea that a black man who is extremely respected by his community for being one of the top two leadership positions in congress (an 80% approval rating), is the same as going up against Andrew Cuomo.

It doesn't matter what you are I think, the voters already decided.

I didn't mention any of this because I only wanted to know what fantasy land this person was living in to get "great chances".

Oh lord...
November 23, 2025 at 9:32 PM
Hakeem has near 80% approval from his votes, where are you getting "great chances" from?
November 23, 2025 at 5:54 AM
Yeah he's got enough on his plate trying to avoid PBA Riot 2026.

It's frankly extremely cool to see, because this is kinda how I want our democracy done anyways. A bunch of collectives figuring out what is best where the foundation is: winning and making people's lives better.

A DSA endorsement does not actually help Chi Ossé in NY-8 as much as people outside might assume - and in many ways it actually would be a liability to *both* Ossé and the DSA.

For people who want to send Jeffries packing, this isn't even really a setback.

Honestly I think the best outcome would be for NYC-DSA not to endorse Chi Ossé, but for him to run anyway.

@socialists.nyc has very little influence in NY-8, and conversely, beating Jeffries will require pulling in funds from people across the country who are interested in unseating him.
Morning Spew for Night Owls—While this all looks and feels very messy for NYC-DSA, it certainly beats the current system where almost everything is done behind closed doors & the only choice Democratic voters are given are to either get in line or zone the fuck out.
November 23, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Yeah that's just not rooted in any reality. First of all any deal like that can be frankly ignored once he won and second that wouldn't sway the NYCDSA like this.

IMHO ‪Aditya is right on the money here, but also I think Zohran could have just dodged this for now. Let AOC take the heat.

As I understand it the conversation centers around two questions: (1) Should they try to tackle someone who has 80% approval rating in their home and (2) does the race take away resources from other easier races or Zohran's own initial momentum.
