Right on cue in the replies to illustrate the point.

I so appreciate this good faith attempt to separate us from our barbaric ideology (in his words).

Only saw what remained of the DC protest after it finished but saw several kuffiyehs

The contract that USC signed specifically says “Cadavers for IDF Training.”

USC knowingly sells cadavers to train the IDF.

Let’s not forget the law firms, who covered themselves with glory in fall 2023 to harass, fire, and intimidate current and future associates—including sending letters to law schools—to combat wrongthink.

They have not been pro-democracy or free speech for a while.

This is 2024, so Romney is referring to President Biden. Pretty remarkable. All the relevant powers that be, Democrats & Republicans, acknowledged, explicitly or otherwise, that this was about silencing Palestinians and their supporters.

And now we will watch Tik Tok turn into another version of X.

Stirring Islamophobia is literally Jeffries’ political origin story!

Did you see this? Kind of lol, lmao, sure but also Malley did seem like perhaps the only Biden admin guy capable of self-reflection. Then again he never started out as a full true believer the way the rest were.

He said this because he knew most people in that district didn’t know his opponent was Muslim. And he knew they wouldn’t like it. That’s why he said it!

Pahlavi left Iran before the 1979 Revolution at age 17 and comes from a nominally Muslim family—his father at least had the sense to express religious piety in public. But sure, let’s hear his “personal reflections on Iranian Jewish life” pre-revolution, when he was what, 15? 16?

Apparently the geniuses at @usc.edu ‘s Office of the Provost think it’s a good idea to sponsor the “Crown Prince” of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, to come speak on campus.

Bizarre event.

Another day, another massacre at a hospital with our tax dollars. At least 15 people killed inside a hospital, including Associated Press and Reuters journalist.

Hussam Al-Masri, Palestinian cameraman and Reuters worker, was among the murdered. Picture is from only 3 weeks ago.

Tabriz would be really interesting because it is a major historic city that has been relatively untouched by globalization. You can’t get like, good Chinese food there. But they have a metro now! I’d live in a house with traditional Persian architecture.

Actually not sure what neighborhood of İstanbul I’d like to live in. Probably somewhere a bit quieter on the Asian side, though I’d like to think I could live in Cihangir or Ortakoy
August 14, 2025 at 1:51 AM
I would simply live in the Sursock Palace in Beirut

I have no special knowledge of the US military, but I know how the militaries of other countries have responded to similar situations.

We’re not special! We are like most people in the world and will react similar to similar stimuli.

It’s time Americans learned that.

Anas al-Sharif’s aunt posted on Facebook a few hours ago. It appears she and her husband are Canadian. Anas probably could have left Gaza and chose not to.

Remember him?

(I’ve been wondering what the yellow flag pin signifies but also not sure I want to know).

Wow, how conveniently incompetent!
August 3, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Blocked now because Biden apologists apparently can’t handle an OIG report lol. Yes his own staff were against the pier because they knew it was nothing but an expensive farce and they were proven extremely right.

The pier was also not an “alternative” to Israel. It was approved by & planned w/them
