Good rule of thumb: If you find yourself yelling "fuck yeah, kill those guys!" in the theater, it's probably not a super great critique of toxic masculinity.

There's a widespread fantasy (especially among men) that male violence can be harnessed and re-directed at "the bad men" in the service of feminism but that's not how we undo patriarchy. It's like believing that the One Ring can be used to defeat Sauron.
