Ponting at 14 is weird, too.

He may have a good average, but him losing it after being run out at Edgbaston was a defining Ashes moment.

Only 7 days to go...given the weather we are having, will this be the first climate changed Ashes...?

Yesterday, I watched Dan Tehan sweating like a pig while PK grilled him over the issue on Afternoon Briefing.

I'm now worried that if I watch too many maulings, I'll start to feel sorry for them... 😀

My former member, Russell Broadbent (Lib), was an anti vaxxer and anti ME, but he was pro VTP until the Gunaikurnai elders said no.

He was also pro climate action and anti mandatory detention.

So I think he'd qualify. Can't think of anyone else. 😀

I loved that interview. The opening was gold.

(Paraphrasing)
PK : are you now Nationals-Lite?
DT : no, because we developed a policy

If you say so, Dan. If you say so...

The last place that I rented was a 2-story double bricked job. The agent wanted me to buy it, claiming that while technically it was strata titled, it should appreciate like a Torrens titled house because of the 2 story thing.

It sold 20 years ago for 300k. It's on the market now for 800k.

She kept a straight face on Afternoon Briefing last week and boasted her keeping her seat in 2025 was because she listened to people. She actually suffered the same huge swing as her colleagues.

Delusional lady.

We ripped the bandaid off a month ago and got the house restumped (which nobbled our wood burner).

Plenty of time to get a new one, we thought, because we won't need heating for 6 months.

That's what I thought. Maybe I'm reading sponsored journalism, maybe not. 😀

This is the one that got the good reviews.

As I read it, the population of Iwo Jima had been brainwashed, rather than having any genuine ideology.

True or not, your great uncle performed an incredible service.

My grandfather bred chickens for his whole life. When they got old, he'd eat them.

He refused retail chicken meat though. A combination of the hormones and conditions they were bred in horrified him.

I've read that some carbon steel woks are as good on induction cook tops as gas.

I'll get one sooner or later - they aren't dishwasher safe apparently, so not rushing out to get one.

Not watching Princess Bride...

Inconceivable.

Reading The Iliad is a true pleasure - it's like a 500 page sea shanty. So relaxing.

Trust Elmo to ruin another good thing. Dickhead.

I put jammy dodgers in the nutri bullet with a banana, cashews, and oat milk and then blitz and drink.

I've tried it with other biscuits, but nothing compares to a jammy dodger.

People talk about the economic miracle delivered by Thatcher, but take out the price of oil and the fact that the British had been pumping North Sea oil for 4 years when she got in...

I had a letter from an aspiring council member for the South Gippsland Shire last year, as well as claiming that we all had "the right to farm", he also added the gem that clean energy should be "beyond the remit of agricultural land".

Back in the 90s and oughties when I was dating, I (thankfully) figured out pretty quickly that if you had a crush, asking her out for a coffee was the way to go. If the coffee date went well, you'd progress to a meal and split the cost.

Who the hell is AA trying to kid?
